I am a horrible person to watch horror movies with - constant commentary, loud screams, and terrified by jump scares.

However, I love true crime videos with a passion. I know, morbid. I'm not completely sure why they intrigue me so much, but they do. It's like when someone really likes Criminal Minds but you don't want to be a jerk and make fun of them for it - yeah, same.
I'm also a huge fan of theory videos on Youtube. You know Buzzfeed Unsolved? Yeah that channel is something I avidly keep up with and always try to update myself on.
Now I'm gonna clarify something real quick; it's not that I enjoy the crimes or whatever, it's just that I have a fascination with learning about all of these dark details of humanity that sometimes I seriously question my own mental stability (i'm just kidding don't report me).
But anyways, I guess the biggest reason why I've got such a deep interest in true crime, cold cases, and all of that kind of stuff is because of some of the wild stuff that my family has been through. You know the Vampire Killer Richard Chase from the late 70's? Apparently when my grandma was younger, some guy knocked on her door and asked if he could come in. She didn't respond and just kept the door locked because, If he was meant to come in, he would either have a key or be with someone else who had a key. The next day, the woman in the next apartment over was found dead in her unlocked apartment.
Also, remember Ted Bundy? Yeah, my grandma almost went out on a date with him and would have become his first victim if not for her taste in men: "No thank you. He's not really my type, Darla. I've got my eyes on this really attractive Navy boy, though."
So yeah. I guess my fascination with the macabre has a back story to it ♡
